This initiative provides an opportunity for homeowners to upgrade their windows and doors while accessing significant rebates for energy-efficient improvements.
Below are the key details to help you better understand the program:
- $100 per ENERGY STAR® certified window or door (opening), applicable to both double- and triple-pane windows. Replacing existing ENERGY STAR certified models will not qualify. Eligibility Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 windows, 1 door, or 1 sliding door must be replaced to qualify.
- Replacing the entire unit (including the frame) remains a requirement for eligibility.
- No Minimum ER 34 Requirement:The previous Energy Rating (ER) minimum of 34 is no longer necessary. As long as the product is ENERGY STAR certified, it qualifies for the rebate.
- A maximum of $600 for a home energy assessment, which is mandatory to unlock rebates.
- Open to homes heated with Enbridge Natural Gas and electric heating systems connected to the Ontario grid.
- To qualify for the rebate, homeowners must take advantage of (2) or more upgrades. This includes attic, basement, crawl space, exposed floor and exterior wall insulation, windows and/or doors, air sealing and hot water heat pumps (DHWHP).
